Planning permission secured for 8 x 1 bedroom flats in a 2/3 storey block. The particular issues surrounding this development were regarding highways and reduced levels of car parking which had to justified by carrying out a comprehensive parking survey to address fairly recent changes to Local Planning Authority guidance.
Planning consent has been secured on the adjoining site for change of use to an HMO. This was a retrospective application which had to be made in order to escape enforcement action. The particular issues surrounding this application were the threat of enforcement action and meeting the needs of the Council’s Environmental Health Department regarding fire safety, hygiene and communal facilities.
